Customer Reviews of Polder Dual Sensor Thermometer and Timer
Customer Rating: Summary: Bought Two, both work great. Comment: My husband and I bought two of these years ago. We kept one and gave the other to my parents. Both have worked wonderfully over the years. Anytime I make steak in the oven or cook the turkey, the probe works great. I had another Polder thermometer prior to this that could only tolerate temps up to the high 300s. It died after one use, but the oven got really hot and I think it just busted the probe. It's a shame to see so many people complaining of them breaking. Maybe I just got lucky. Customer Rating: Summary: Tastes great, Less Filling....oh, wait...wrong product...lol Comment: Works great, don't know how I ever got along without it. Bought it for use with a propane smoker. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't buy this one & thanks to all who wrote Comment: Thanks to all who wrote about it being unreliable & breaking fairly quickly. We almost ordered this remembering that we had one a long time ago - FORGETTING that we did not have it long. Appreciate it & don't buy this one! Customer Rating: Summary: stopped working after only a few uses! Comment: Though it worked well on a few occasions, it stopped giving correct readings after just a matter of months. I wasn't sure I needed to spend $50 or so on a probe thermometer, but apparently I was wrong, because this $30 "deal" definitely turned out to be a dud. There's a newer Polder model that has received excellent reviews and seems to be a much better buy. Customer Rating: Summary: Love it, except the probe keeps going bad! Comment: It works great and we love it, however the probe keeps going bad. We tried a less expensive version, same brand, and are having better results. More Reviews Keep a careful watch on your next roast with this thermometer timer. Put the probe in your meat while keeping the thermometer/timer on the countertop. Quickly opening the oven door to read the temperature and let minimal cold air in is no longer a chore.T Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers Added features such as ice making and drinks dispensers can all add to the appeal of certain models. Ice making is an option on many American style fridge-freezers, sometimes available without opening the door, as are cold water dispensers. Zoned models offer several storage areas, all at different temperatures, designed to keep a variety of foods fresh for longer. Most manufacturers now offer adjustable shelf heights and storage units which simplify food storage. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans.
