Customer Reviews of Oxo SteeL 9-Inch Whisk
Customer Rating: Summary: VERY SMALL IN SIZE Comment: Although solidly made, this is a VERY SMALL whisk. Nine inches sounds big, but this will only suffice for whisking 2-3 eggs, or for those occasions when you don't want a full sized whisk. I was disappointed in it when it arrived. It's not what you want if you think it's a regular sized whisk. Customer Rating: Summary: Good looking whisk Comment: This is a mid-size whisk, not a full-size one. If you understand that you'll be happy with it. It is a simple item, does what it is supposed to, and looks great doing it. Customer Rating: Summary: great little whisk Comment: This whisk is solidly constucted. You won't have the feeling that the handle is going to fall off from too much use. Besides that, it has the OXO feature of a very comfortable handle. I liked it so much, I'm ordering the 11 inch balloon whisk as well. More Reviews In typical OXO fashion, the brushed steel handle is ergonomically designed for comfort. This small whisk is ideal for salad emulsions, beating a few eggs and other small blending jobs, where the object is more to mix than to incorporate air. Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes. Oxo SteeL 9-Inch Whisk Kitchen tips -> Lettuce Dry lettuce and other salad greens before adding dressing by tossing a couple of paper towels with the greens in a large bowl. Once the towels have picked up the excess moisture, pull them out and throw them away |
