Customer Reviews of Chef'n Dual Grinder
Customer Rating: Summary: Overpriced junk Comment: The title says it all. Everyone's complaints are spot on. Buy a good salt & pepper grinder combo set and save yourself the aggravation. Customer Rating: Summary: From the Pepper Conservation Society? Comment: Such low output makes it nearly useless! I can't even give it away. I have the black handle/black pad version (not stainless steel). I played with the coarseness settings and I just do not have the patience to squeeze this thing all day. I only give it two stars because it's cute and hasn't broken. Anybody want it? Customer Rating: Summary: Great everyday use Comment: I like this grinder very much. It grinds the salt very well, but the pepper takes a while. Sometimes I have to shake it to get the peppercorns into the grinder and then it works better. For recipes etc., it's not so great having to pump your hand a hundred times. For just regular use, dinner, etc, it's wonderful. Customer Rating: Summary: Disapointed Comment: I am disapointed. This looked a lot better than the traditional grinder's, so I thought I would try it. It takes too long to grind and not very much comes out at a time. I do like the easy loading doors. Customer Rating: Summary: good for the table, not for cooking Comment: I give this grinder 3 stars because the idea is so darn clever... adjustable grind size, and both salt AND pepper in one device. It's kind of fun twisting from the salt side to the pepper side too. Unfortunately, all the complaints of output amount are true. I find that almost no salt comes out unless it's set to the coarsest grind. I can get a fine grind of pepper, but again, it just creates a faint dusting. When I seasoned a pot of mashed potatoes, my hand got so tired that I had to ask someone else to finish grinding. Also, I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it seems to leave a lot of what's been ground inside the chamber, which means I don't get 100% freshly ground pepper, thereby defeating the entire point. It's not TERRIBLE, but I plan to keep this on my table, and get another, more functional grinder for the kitchen. More Reviews Twist SavvyGrip soft handles to P for pepper or S for salt. Durable metal pepper and ceramic salt grinders. Fully filled with medley peppercorns and coarse sea salt. GrindTune levers adjust coarseness of salt and pepper. Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible. Also, you should consider buying a non-stick silicon sheet: they make baking very easy! Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens The standard 60cm oven has been joined by various other sizes. Now consumers can choose from 60,70 and 90cm wide built-in single ovens. Always check the internal capacity shown in litres as well as the external dimensions.
