Customer Reviews of Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder, Black
Customer Rating: Summary: Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder Comment: I've had this burr grinder for only a few weeks, but so far, it has performed flawlessly. It's a little hard to clean the interior portion with the provided brush. I discovered that cleaning it with compressed air works great..... should you have an air compressor that's the way to go. Customer Rating: Summary: coffee grinder Comment: This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and was recommended by another daughter. They both love this product! Customer Rating: Summary: This is the one Comment: Quite simply this is the least expensive home grinder that does a good job. I used an inexpensive Braun grinder for many years, purchased and returned a Lello 45800/3006 Ariete Burr Coffee Grinder recently, and observed others in use at various places. This Capresso grinder is far superior to all of those others. - The conical burr design this model has is the only way to go. Consistent grind and low static electricity. - Still noisy, but at a lower frequency that other units out there. Definitely bearable in volume. - Timer is simple and works. - My only complaint (echoed by others) is that some coffee is left inside the unit after each grind (maybe 1/2 a tablespoon). Not a big deal. Overall I highly recommend this grinder. The black finish is fine, but if it is in your budget I'm sure the stainless is even better looking. Customer Rating: Summary: Daily drinker Comment: I bought the product mostly because because i could grind a somewhat large quantity at a time. Since my mornings are hectic and I can't afford the extra time to grind daily. The machine grinds wonderfully with a dial to match your grind preference. The draw back for me however, is the chute to the coffee bowl is to small and it gets plugged. Then the chaos begins and you have to take all the beans out (which spills alll over the kitchen counter) turn upside down and brush all the clogged mess onto a napkin. So for me the machine is aweful messy. So if you are not in ahurry and put a small amount of beans in the dispenser it will work just fine for you! Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed Comment: This grinder was good in producing an evenly ground product. Reasonably quiet. However, in grinding a rich soft bean (pure Kona) it clogs and cakes around the burr. If you do not clean at least every two days or so. a buildup of grounds begins that will soon kill the machine. Do buy the guarantee sold as an extra on Amazon or go elsewhere. More Reviews Conical Burr Grinders preserve the most aromas and can grind very fine and very consistent. The intricate design of the steel burrs allow a high gear reduction to slow down the grinding speed. The slower the speed the less heat is imparted to the ground coffee, thus preserving a maximum amount of aroma. Because of the wide range of grind settings these grinders are ideal for all kinds of coffee equipment such as Espresso, Drip, Percolators, French Press. It can also grind extra fine for the preparation of Turkish coffee. Slowest grinding speed in its class creates less friction and heat build up preserving maximum aroma and flavor in any grind setting Tight fitting ground coffee container, holds up to 4 ounces of ground coffee See-through bean container holds up to 8.8 ounces of beans Timer can be set to grind from 5 to 60 seconds Elegant, timeless and user-friendly design Cleaning brush and measuring scoop included Dimensions - Height 10.8 x Width 5.4 x Length 7.7 Weight - 3.3 pounds Choosing Appliance -> Spoons Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice). Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder, Black Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
