But the spoon split the second time I used it. I've had spoons from C&B or WS and they have worked fine. I liked this one because of the handle. Well, that's good money down the drain. I see reviews saying it splits in two pieces, I think OXO may have changed the design; this spoon is one solid piece of wood. (And very solid at that). Then it cracked and I was very unhappy. It seems so substantial and sturdy. I'm still using it because it's not unuseable yet, but it will get to that point in a few weeks, I bet. Then I'll have to throw it away and start the search for a better spoon. More Reviews The large handle feels comfortable in your hand as you stir and serve. Wood is gentle on ceramics, non-stick cookware and glass. It is also warmly beautiful and naturally heat resistant. 
Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot.
