Customer Reviews of Dualit 45364 Lite 4-Slice Toaster, Charcoal
Customer Rating: Summary: It's just a toaster Comment: I don't know how they can justify charging over $100 for a toaster. It makes toast that's all. All I can say is it's very average and functional. Besides the price my only other gripe it that the springs inside are too strong. It will send your toast half way to the ceiling. Heavy bagels are fine but small bread or lighter english muffins will launch out of that thing like a rocket. One time my toast flew out then bounced off the cabinet and ended up on the floor. Another time it ended up in the sink. You would think for that price they could make something a little better. Well at least it looks nice there on the counter and I do like the lift function to help remove small items like toaster pastry. My advise would be to save your money and just get a cheap one. Customer Rating: Summary: The worst toaster ever Comment: This is seriously one of the worst toasters I've ever used. Not only does it toast unevenly, it burns everything, even frozen things, even on the lowest setting. On the bright side, it looks nice. Customer Rating: Summary: Worth every penny! Comment: I have tried numerous toasters, but this one is by far the best so far. It is a bit pricey, but it was worth every extra penny. It makes toast nice and golden brown and very QUICKLY, which is a plus on those busy school mornings. My bagels come out golden on the fronts and just heated on the backs...just like a toaster oven. I've read some negative reviews about this product, but I haven't had any problems at all. It is a keeper! Customer Rating: Summary: Most-used toaster I have Comment: I love this one, and I have a collection of 20-odd toasters. The dual wide slots are the only way to go. If all you eat is wonder bread and pop tarts you wouldn't appreciate it, but the wide slots let you toast 2 slices of larger loaves. The variable width slots are great, I can easily put in a hamburger bun or sliced french roll. The bagel setting will toast only on one side ( the proper way to toast a bagel ) and this works well with the burger buns or rolls. You press the center button when you want bagel mode so you won't accidently leave a switch in the wrong position. I'll agree you won't be able go get 20 different shades of brown from the controls, I think I used 3 once, but it usually hovers around 2-1/2. I'm happy with the results at that setting though. I think you use 5 for warming your kitchen up on a winter morning. I was surprised when I got it that unlike the traditional Dualit it will pop up the toast when done, but at least you can still lift the lever to make it easier to remove hot toast without getting your fingers burnt. Customer Rating: Summary: If i had it to do over, i'd get something else Comment: Pros: There are lots of little heating elements (unlike my former Braun that had one central coil running down the middle of the toaster) for even toasting. It's a nice looking toaster. You can get a sandwich cage for it, which is a really nice feature for making panini. You can lift the lever after toasting to raise small pieces higher for easier removal. Cons: Frozen english muffins are getting pretty dark on the 3 setting (i can't imagine what happens at 5 or above!), and things pop out of the top - if there is only one piece of bread it pops out onto the counter). It also doesn't seem to be any faster at getting the job done despite the number of heating elements. It is primarily plastic, although that's not inherently bad, but for the money, i do think it should be a better toaster with more features, like defrost, bagel toasting, etc. More Reviews 4 Slice Charcoal Soft Touch Bread Toaster The new Dualit Lite toaster is a combination of simplicity and style with its array of features Dualit quality with commercial rating and design makes this toaster one of the best in its class and it comes in a variety of great colors Each slot is extra wide and automatically adjusts to accommodate bagels buns and muffins There is also a high lift mechanism for easy removal of small items There is also the Neon light that glows during toasting process or flashes when toasting buns With it s polished stainless steel cover sturdy ABS body the many features and design of the new Dualit toaster will please all Product Specifications Toasts 1 to 4 slices at a time Power 1850 watts 120 Volts AC 15 in x 8 in x 6 7 in high Weights 6 3 lbs 11 5 oz Insulated stainless steel body Not Just Any Toaster Solid metal bullet-proof construction Simple operation Great looks Comes in different colors Top-notch performance Beautiful addition to any kitchen///-Small Electrics/Kitchen Appliances Choosing Appliance -> Dishwasher Choose a dishwasher with sturdy compression springs in the door. Also look for tough, lightweight nylon or graphite racks with cushioned tips that protect glassware and cookware. Weimer recommends choosing a model with a rack design that provides the largest, most flexible interior space and is configured for your belongings, including odd-shaped pieces. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Dryer When shopping for a new clothes dryer, look for one with a moisture sensor that automatically shuts off the machine when your clothes are dry. Not only will this save energy, it will save wear and tear on your clothes caused by over-drying. Keep in mind that gas dryers are less expensive to operate than electric dryers. The cost of drying a typical load of laundry in an electric dryer is 30 to 40 cents compared to 15 to 25 cents in a gas dryer. Dualit 45364 Lite 4-Slice Toaster, Charcoal Useful info -> Water Filters Of course the market for bottled water is still massive, but you might be interested, even surprised to know that one of the largest growing sectors in water consumption at home is in the installation of water filter systems, that provide virtually unlimited quantities of pure water, straight from the mains, through a dedicated tap that provides water, pure and simple. |
