Customer Rating:  Summary: Excellent Purchase Comment: I bought this for my 5-yr old daughter to help with her homework that she needs to finish within a certain time. Now we also use it to help with the last 15 min of getting ready to get out of home, and using this timer is a lot better than me constantly reminding her to "hurry up, or you'll be late!". In fact it helps the grown-ups in the family too. Instead of just promising ourselves that we will do 5 more minutes of email before we get up and get ready, we just set the timer. Great price too! I was very impressed by Amazon's customer service, however, which sent a replacement that came the next day. The replacement timer works fine, and is just as convenient as I'd hoped. I really needed a vibrating timer for times when someone else is sleeping in the room where I'm working -- and this one is very easy to use. The fate of the first unit means this product is probably pretty fragile -- probably wouldn't withstand being dropped -- but that's the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. The timer is loud enough if you place it on a table and put it on sound and vibrate. The vibrate is louder than the sound if it can rattle on a hard surface.
