It worked well with both small and large cookbooks. The color would accommodate any decor. I didn't feel I could give this item 5 stars because I won't be using it. More Reviews The Renaissance Cookbook Holder is made of antique plated steel and is an attractive and functional way to display and/or make use of your favorite cookbook. 
Choosing Appliance -> Spoons Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice). Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible.
