Customer Reviews of KitchenAid KG1330B Professional Series Cheese Slicer, Black
Customer Rating: Summary: Heavy Duty, one flaw Comment: Its a solid product and the only flaw I see is that the wire slicer is not adjustable. So if I want thicker/thinner slices of cheese, I'm stuck with just one thickness. It worked great on Velveeta cheese. Customer Rating: Summary: A relyable cheese slicer Comment: Very good with cutting the cheese and that is not saying any thing about stinking up the joint on you. This cheese slicer is a very good thing to have and is indeed a must have to keep in your kitchen as a food tool. This cheese slicer is very comfortable to grab and hold and is also easy to wash. Customer Rating: Summary: It is as good as the wire Comment: Most slicers of this type are the same. This one has a good feel but time will tell if it is any better than the next one. The question is whether the wire will be strong and last a long time or will it break or stretch. It has worked well the few times I have used it and is easy to clean and it looks good. I would recommend it. Customer Rating: Summary: does not work Comment: I am normally a fan of kitchen aid. This slicer has not cut a single peice of cheese since I brought it home. I've tried it on hard cheese, semi hard and soft sheese. It's really just taking up space in my utensils drawer. Customer Rating: Summary: The Black Knight of Cheese Slicers Comment: Stands up to hard cheddars, but won't hold its nose at your processed cheese or softer cheeses either (pssst, that means even Velveeta, for all the other single gals out there). The Kitchen Aid name promises it will be around awhile, and the thread is taught and doesn't slip at all. My hero. :-) More Reviews This versatile cheese slicer glides through hard or semi-soft cheeses with ease and makes light work of creating cheese trays or hors d’oeuvres for a party. The slicer measures 7-3/4 inches from head to handle’s end and has a thick plastic handle with stainless-steel accents for more controlled movements. The head of the slicer has a 4-inch-wide wire and roller made of heavy-duty stainless steel, which is less likely to snap under pressure when cutting through heavier cheeses. For additional durability, the wire and roller are mounted to a sturdy fiberglass-reinforced nylon frame with cast bolsters. This professional-level slicer is dishwasher-safe for easier cleanup. KitchenAid offers a hassle-free replacement warranty on this slicer during the first year of ownership and a lifetime limited warranty on it thereafter. --Cristina Vaamonde Choosing Appliance -> Sinks Consider which accessories might be beneficial. Many models can be supplied with a draining basket, chopping board and strainer bowls. A drainer extension can be useful for sinks without a drainer where worktop space is limited in a small kitchen. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. KitchenAid KG1330B Professional Series Cheese Slicer, Black Kitchen tips -> |
