Customer Reviews of MIU Connoisseur Corkscrew
Customer Rating: Summary: Toss out your Sommeliers Kinfe Comment: Awesome. Removes corks with very little effort. Best part is that you can also use the lever to remove the cork from the corkscrew itself, so you no longer have to fear cutting your hand when removing a cork from a corkscrew. Get it. Customer Rating: Summary: Great while it lasted Comment: This was a wonderful tool for about a year, and I was thrilled that it was so much cheaper than the name brands, but then some part of the internal mechanism broke so now I've just got a neat foil cutter. Customer Rating: Summary: junk junk junk Comment: these openers are no good, they break after only using them about a dozen times or so buy the better one because these are a waste of time and money Customer Rating: Summary: Fastest & Easiest way to open a bottle Comment: One star down because is a bit bulky. Even as I write this I'm debating that star because short of SHOOTING the cork and the top of the bottle off, this is the quickest and easiest way to get the cork out of a bottle. Opening a bottle with this is far better than that; no messing around with glass shards all around, holes in the walls behind, or innocent bystanders being hit by any shrapnel. Customer Rating: Summary: Breaks too easily Comment: This would be a decent product if it didn't break after so little use. I'll bet I didn't even open 20 bottles of wine before it broke. The company, MIU FRANCE, doesn't even respond to emails. It can't be returned to Amazon since I bought it awhile ago, although I never used it much until recently. Very disappointing. More Reviews The next best thing to an in-house sommelier, this professional-quality wine opener offers the same impressive performance and stylish design as corkscrews that cost far more. Made from durable, nickel-plated, zinc alloy with easy-grip, ergonomic handles, it uses metal gears to extract corks in seconds. The entire process requires minimal effort, and best of all, there are never bits of mangled cork floating around in the bottle afterwards. This MIU France wine opener comes with an extra corkscrew, an attractive presentation stand, and a foil cutter to prepare bottles for opening. This product is dishwasher-safe, and has a lifetime warranty. Choosing Appliance -> Servicing Your Appliance Buying this "service deal" can be expensive but if you feel happier knowing that you are protected from breakdown for a few years, shop around insurance brokers to see how prices compare. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. MIU Connoisseur Corkscrew Useful info -> Energy-Efficient Appliances When you do have to shop for a new appliance, look for the Energy Star label. Energy Star appliances have been identified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and DOE as being the most energy-efficient products in their classes. They usually exceed minimum federal standards by a substantial amount. |
