More Reviews Made of lightweight nylon, this utensil is gentle on stainless-steel and nonstick cookware surfaces, yet sturdy enough to scoop heavier portions of food. With its perforated 4-1/4-inch-diameter head, the skimmer is ideal for lifting pierogi from boiling water or skimming fat off the top of homemade chicken stock. Its nylon construction is heat-resistant up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit so the skimmer can withstand high cooking temperatures without melting. Measuring 13-3/4 inches long, the skimmer keeps hands far away from hot cooktops, while the soft, rubber-coated, ergonomic handle provides a comfortable and safe grip for slippery hands.
