It was exaactly what I was looking for and I am glad I did not get the wooden one. This aluminum one will last longer and just seems right!! Customer Rating: Summary: Great Pizza Peel for removing cooked Pizza from Hot Stone Comment: This is a excellent Pizza Peel for removing your cooked Pizza from your Hot Pizza Stone. I am still trying different methods to try and get the un-cooked pizza off the peel and on to the Pizza stone. I've tried Corn meal sprinkled generously on the peel and the pizza still sticks. I will try flouring the peel and the corn meal next. So I rated this peel a 3 star as it works GREAT taking a hot, cooked pizza off my stone, but trying to slide off a uncooked fully topped pizza onto the stone just makes a mess. I would have to agree with the other writers that the packaging was lacking and I was surprised it was not damaged in shipping. Also, there is a little hole on the wooden holder at the end of the paddle that one could hang it on a wall; but it is missing a leather/rope cord to hang it. Not sure if that was intended but I will have to fasten my own cording in order to use this function. I feel professional using this as though I own my own pizza parlor. I like to use this to remove the pizza off our Big Green Egg when we are making pizzas outdoors. Great Price!!! Customer Rating: Summary: Worth the money Comment: This is a long pizza peel so be prepared when you go to store it. It has a hole in the handle but no loop. I used a piece of leather shoe string and it looks good. The box was crushed and the tape was loose but the peel was fine. They used very little packing material to keep it safe. It will save so much time when it comes to simple chopping or more advanced preparations like mayonnaise. As with most things, buy quality-- it will last longer, be capable of tougher jobs, and give you less problems.
