Customer Rating:  Summary: No More Black Stuff in My Food Comment: Oh the joy of a silicone pancake turner! The one I used to have (of a different brand) finally broke so I thought I'd just go buy a regular one at a store near by. Big mistake! Not only did it leave little pieces of black plastic in my food, it also was difficult to clean and I had to scrape off the melted plastic from the edge each time I washed it. Finally I decided I had to have another silicone turner. The Oxo Silicone Pancake Turner is easy to clean because it is nonstick and there is no black stuff because the silicone doesn't melt in the pan. Another great feature is that it is wider than a typical spatula. This means when I am flipping a pancake or a grilled cheese sandwich, the edges don't break and fall off the spatula. This gadget is big enough to support the whole thing! What more could I ask for in a excellent kitchen utensil? This spatula is a must have for anyone who likes to cook. This spatula is handy for foods other than pancakes and it's well made. Customer Rating: Summary: Flippin' those flapjacks just got a lot easier. Comment: Wow, someone finally figured out that many of the things we cook on griddles aren't 3x4 inch rectangles!! This pancake turner is actually shaped round like a round thing you'd actually cook. And, the stuff that is getting cooked doesn't bond to the surface of this spectacular spatula. So far, so good. A lot of help for a little price. (eggs ect) you might not be able to cook more than one at a time cause you wont be able to flip them. but very durable and easy to clean. other than that i might get another if it comes in a smaller size. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans.
