Customer Rating:  Summary: So far so good Comment: We just got "The Crusher" yesterday and my husband immediately installed it in his shop/garage. He was so excited you would have thought I handed him $1000 cash! He`s wanted one for awhile so I finally got him this one for his B-day after looking for one in a store. I looked at some of the others, but they didn`t look very sturdy. This one seems to be very well made. He`s only used it for a day, but he`s tickled with it so far. I agree with another reviewer that you need to dent the can a little first for easier crushing, no big deal. We`ll see how it holds up cause it`s gonna get a workout for sure! After using the crusher for a few weeks, I agree. Works very well and is very sturdy. The only flaw I can think of is the placement of the anchor screws. There are 3 on top and one on the bottom. I use only the top middle and bottom screw to secure to my garage wall as my studs are not wide enough for all three on the top. So far so good on just using two of five. Word of advice, slightly dent the can before you crush it. This prevents it from shooting out at you before it crushes all the way down. I have read in other reviews about how the can sometimes pops out and this is true, but it doesn't happen much and when it does, it is easy to put the can back in and get completely crushed on the second try. After you get the hang of it it shouldn't be a problem. It also has a very heavy, sturdy design and has no "give" at all when used. Useful info -> Dishwashers Don't put up with intrusive machine noise in the kitchen. Most dishwashers are now whisper quiet, 45-49dB being typical. You should still be able to watch the television or hold a conversation whilst the machine is operating. |
