Customer Rating:   Summary: Good Book with Limitations Comment: This is a good book to get you started on your sushi career. It has lots of valuable tips on what you need and the procedures, but once you get that under your belt, I found the recipes could be less 'poofy' and more substantial. But if you need help learning how to season your rice, or about the various styles of sushi that's out there, its a nice book for your collection. Customer Rating: Summary: Sushi for Dummies Comment: Excellent book! it really covers everything and more that you need to know about making sushi! Easy and fun to read. It covers everything, from how to pronounce some needed words, what materials you need, where to buy them (not very useful unless you live in the USA), how to prepare rice, to exotic recipes. It is just great! Customer Rating: Summary: easy and detailed Comment: This is a great product because it provided exactly what I was looking for. It was easy enough to be a beginner book but detailed with enough information to be helpful beyond the beginner level. My favorite part is that they offer a lot of vocabulary with definitions and pronunciations that makes eating sushi in a sushi place much easier. So it provides information applicable to both eating out and eating in. Overall a great find. I would definitely recommend it for a beginner who is looking for more than the over simplified version. Limescale build-up is also prevented. Some manufacturers now produce models with the concealed heating element coiled around the water inlet pipe for further energy efficiency. |
