Donovan California Bookwatch More Reviews Whoever said grills are reserved for weekend barbecues has never met Diane Morgan. In her newest grilling cookbook, she presents a compelling argument that grills should be used every night, complete with 125 recipes and the promise of less dishwashing. For novice grillers, she's incorporated chapters on types of grills, cleaning and safety tips, and lists of helpful tools. Mouthwatering recipes include meat and veggie entrees, side dishes, and even flame-broiled desserts like Bananas Slicked with Rum and Molasses. If that's not enough, she's even added The Grill Planner, a chapter devoted to ensuring that Tuesday's leftover ingredients from Shrimp and Pineapple Skewers with Garlic and Cilantro Drizzle will become Wednesday's Pineapple, Shrimp, and Anaheim Chile Salad. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers By law manufacturers must disclose the energy efficiency of their appliances, rated A to G. These are usually displayed prominently in showrooms. The better the rating, the more energy efficient the appliance is - good for both the environment and your pocket. Choosing Appliance -> Do I need a dishwasher? If you enjoy washing by hand, no! However modern machines use less water, detergent and power than ever before and wash hotter using really powerful cleaners giving a hygienic wash result. You can save around 500 hours a year so it is worth thinking about. If you have a small kitchen or live alone, choose a slimline model. Grill Every Day: 125 Fast-Track Recipes for Weeknights at the Grill Kitchen tips -> Rice cooking Add a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of oil to rice when cooking. This will allow the rice to separate and not stick together after it is cooked. You can also try just adding a tablespoon of vinegar to the water to prevent rice from sticking |
