Customer Reviews of 500 Appetizers: The Only Appetizer Cookbook You'll Ever Need
Customer Rating: Summary: 500 appetizers Comment: I was disappointed that there weren't the kinds of appetizers I would be interested in serving my guests. The photos were very clear, and tips were good, but the recipes just were not ones that I would use so I gave the book away. Customer Rating: Summary: appeteizers Comment: i like this book--the recipes are short and easy to understand i already used lots of the recipes and i like them Customer Rating: Summary: Great Photos, Many Ideas Comment: The beautiful photographs in this book will stir your appetite and imagination. Some of the recipes use only one or two ingredients and quite simple, some have more ingredients and are more involved. None of the recipes seem overly complex - and most seem to be forgiving in terms of cooking time. The primary recipe and related variations format helps keep the size of the book small (about 280 pages). Most of the ingredients are easy to find. The index is complete and useful. A fun and useful little book. Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointment Comment: The title 500 recipes intrigued me. I have an annual holiday party and am always looking for new recipes. I assumed it was 500 different recipes, as opposed to 50 or so main recipes with variations on each to complete the 500 total. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. 500 Appetizers: The Only Appetizer Cookbook You'll Ever Need Kitchen tips -> Eggs
