Customer Rating:   Summary: NOT MADE IN ENGLAND!!! BEWARE Comment: Certainly not made in England, its made in Columbia and in certain pieces the colors and design are so blurry that you cannot even clearly read the Made in Columbia text on the back of the plates, its all smudged. I guess the earlier reviewers must have got the made in england stuff which has much better quality images on the plates....I saw one at a friend's place(they were the Made in England ones) and bought these for my girlfriend who loved them when she saw them at my friend's party....but we were thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the product, the edges were uneven, all pieces were different in the quality of the the colors and printing. The only good thing was the exceptional free and fast delivery and great return policy from amazon. So our advice - DONT BUY unless you want a really cheap, throwaway price product for your kids who frequently break dishes and stuff... I have a lot of Churchill thats made in England including completer pieces from this set. Ok....the transfer on all the dishes was fine except the side plates, they were all blurred (I got 2 sets of 20). I find this on many antique or vintage pieces as well. NO chips or cracks in shipping. I collect Blue Willow antique china and have over 200 pieces from different makers, I always wanted some just to use. Nice weight to the pieces, great for everyday use which is why I got them. Customer Rating: Summary: MY SETS WERE GREAT!!! Comment: I read the reviews before buying and it seemed hit~or~miss with the dishes. Both sets I ordered arrived in great shape! Nothing was broken, which really surprised me. NO runny paint jobs. I really loved them for everyday dishes. Last week, I saw another review on Amazon, saying that her dishes tested positive for lead! I bought a lead tester and sure enough, this morning the dishes tested positive for lead in the glaze. We are shocked and devastated! I am getting rid of the dishes, of course. Lead is a very poisonous substance. I went and bought 12 white dishes from Pottery Barn this afternoon. I'm going to test them too! I am disappointed that Amazon is selling dishes with lead leaching from the glaze. More Reviews The fluted Chelsea shape gives the traditional Blue Willow pattern a lighter, more contemporary feel. Choosing Appliance -> Spoons Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice). Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans.
