Customer Reviews of Chantal Ceramic 1-3/4-Quart Rectangular Baker, Cobalt Blue
Customer Rating: Summary: great baking dish! Comment: I ordered this bakeware because I needed a dish for baking foods for two. This bakeware is the perfect size and the deep blue color is so attractive on the table. Foods do not stick and clean up is a breeze! Customer Rating: Summary: I use this more than any other baking dish! Comment: Oh my goodness, I can't say enough great things about this item! I own a 2 qt, 11 X 8.5 inch dish, but decided to review this product since I couldn't find my exact product. This is a perfect size for side dishes, a small roast chicken, or even a quick batch of brownies. I love that this dish can go from oven to table and look fantastic. The finish is extremely durable - and surprising non-stick! Although it isn't described as a non-stick finish, even baked-on cheese lifts very easily. The finish is also extremely durable. After constant use, my baker still has no cut marks or cracks. It remains a gorgeous deep blue color with a smooth surface. I highly and heartily recommend this product! More Reviews Chantal Ceramic Bakeware is beautiful with a high gloss glaze and rich vibrant colors and functional with thick walls and bottom for superior heat retention and uniform baking. This high quality bakeware can withstand high oven temperatures and the durable glaze is safe for cutting and serving with metal utensils. Table ready. Can be put in the dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer. For occasional dried-on food, sprinkle with a teaspoon of baking soda and water and scrub with a nylon or plastic scrubber. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach and other strong cleaners. Do not use on gas or electric stovetop. Not recommended for broiler use. To prevent chipping or breakage, do not drop, over-stack or knock against sides of sink. Before microwaving frozen meals, thaw in refrigerator for the best results. Do not run cold water into a hot dish, cracking could occur from sudden temperature change. Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Chantal Ceramic 1-3/4-Quart Rectangular Baker, Cobalt Blue Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
