Customer Reviews of Noritake Colorwave Blue 2.5 Quart Enamel-on-Steel Teakettle
Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed in the Color Comment: I was very displeased with this item because it is not truly purple, but rather more of a mauve/brownish color. And I specifically wanted a PURPLE teakettle, because I own a backpacker hostel called The Purple House, and everything in the house is purple. So it was a let down, and since I live so far away in Panama, and my parents brought it with them on their annual trip, I will probably never return it. But if I did live in the states, I would definitely return this item. Sorry, but true. Customer Rating: Summary: Great teakettle! Comment: This is just what I wanted! This teakettle is unique looking and the purple matches my kitchen perfectly. The slant on the teakettle allows you to take off the lid when the water is boiling and not burn your fingers on the steam. Its great! More Reviews Accent your stovetop with this accessory piece in the Colorwave Collection. Its modern contours reflect the shapes of the stoneware pieces for a designer look. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Grater In our opinion, the old fashioned box graters work the best since they are sturdy and offer several different grating sizes. Noritake Colorwave Blue 2.5 Quart Enamel-on-Steel Teakettle Kitchen tips -> Sharpening Knife A dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one, because you apply to it more pressure and force to cut through foods. It can easily slip out of place as you use it and you can harm yourself. Keep your knives in good working condition by sharpening according to their use and time. There's no specified amount of time, because knives vary as much as their use; although, you can easily determine if they need sharpening by the way they cut/slice foods. If a knife can slice through a tomato and tear the skin, then it needs sharpening. If, on the other hand, the cut is clean and quick without any tears, then it needs not be sharpened. |
