Customer Rating:   Summary: Almost Exactly What I Wanted Comment: I searched and searched, bought and returned many whistling teakettles; however, they never served my purpose. What I sought, and got with the Revere, was a whistle that could be heard in the far reaches of the house. I have a habit of putting water on for tea and then going about my business and forgetting the water on the stove so the strength of the whistle was my first priority. As I use the kettle daily, I would say that the trigger mechanism does not seem sturdy enough; however, only time will tell. The extra cleaning steps needed to get to the interior are far outweighed by the whistle strength. When I went online to Amazon.com and found it, I knew I had to buy it!
