Customer Reviews of Sharp R-320HW 1200 Watts Mid Size Microwave Oven, white
Customer Rating: Summary: Glasses Needed Comment: An excellent appliance, other than the lettering on the menu, which is too small for somebody with less than perfect eyesight. Other than that, I love it. Powerful, quiet, adequately sized. Customer Rating: Summary: Works well for me. Comment: I've had this Sharp microwave for about 18 months, and so far so good. I use it almost daily, and it has never given me a problem. It heats my food quickly and evenly. This microwave works much better and quicker than my previous one, despite being only 100 Watts more. I'm very happy with the Sharp. Customer Rating: Summary: Shorts out in less than 2 years Comment: I purchased this microwave ib Dec. 2006 and it has been less than 2 years of use. It is starting to short out and I am afraid it will catch on fire. I do not use it for too many things except heating water, leftovers, potatoes and popcorn. I am not happy that it lasted less tahn 2 years with such little use. Customer Rating: Summary: watch out the sensor Comment: Don't trust its sensor system. The sensor showed 1 minute and 20 seconds.I saw the smoke coming out of the microwave after 1 minute. The food was all burned. We almost caused a fire in the kitchen.I am glad I was standing right there and turned it off immediately. If the sensor didn't sense the vapor coming out of the food,it should have showed an error sign or turn off the microwave. Customer Rating: Summary: What a buy! Comment: My microwave finally died so I started searching for a new one. My family LOVES popcorn and this one has a popcorn button with the option for even a snack bag size! It has popped every kernel perfectly, everytime! I love to option to reheat, but I haven't mastered the sensor heat yet. I think it may take some practice. The microwave is a great size too! I can easily fit a full dinner plate or five potatoes in a circle. It is also very quiet and while the screen might be a little dificult to read at certain angles, it doesn't bother me. I love the timer and it even has an option to keep the food warm which works great! All in all, I would highly suggest this product. More Reviews This microwave takes most of the guesswork out of defrosting, reheating, and cooking! It has sensor settings for ten of the most popular microwave foods, and for popcorn as well. It also can keep things warm, and it can be programmed for four cooking stages. Powerful and roomy, equipped with a child lock, a timer, and a clock, it's ideal for family use. Choosing Appliance -> Spatulas Buy a sturdy stainless spatula for general uses and a Teflon spatula for your non-stick pan. In addition, buy a silicon baking spatula for scraping bowls. Silicon is an amazing substance which is heat resistant up to 550 degrees. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Washer When shopping for a new washer, look for a front loading (horizontal-axis) machine. This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine. With a front loader, you'll also save more on clothes drying, because they remove more water from your clothes during the spin cycle. Look for the Energy Star label.
