It is so pretty in person. It is the perfect size for a cheese ball or cheese about the size of a CD. It barely works for our intended purpose, but it is just large enough. My wife and I are very satisfied with the beauty and construction of this lovely dish. We're using it to house some soap sculpted flowers and the display is stunning. As long as you measure your needs accurately and a bit conservatively, this footed plate and dome will satisfy the most discriminating of buyers. I was pleasantly surprised that this was a nice heavy glass and not too delicate to hold up to everyday use. The grape patterned pedestal is nice, too, though. I'm sure I'll find a use for it. Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens.
