Comment: I'm 21, and this is my first sewing machine (I'm used to hand-stitching) After just a little while, I was making and finishing a sweatsuit using this machine - it works great, and like others have said, if you're having trouble with it, you probably just need to check to make sure it's set up correctly. Everytime there was a problem, it was due to my error, not machine malfuncion. Also, the complaints about the needle being hard to thread are not really fair - any needle is somewhat difficult to thread! However you can adjust the height of the needle or use the threading device that is included. Overall, this is a wonderful product. I may invest in one of the more expensive brands of sewing machine later on, but this one will serve me well for a long time to come. Customer Rating: Summary: Little but Mighty Comment: This little machine is easy to use. Light weight. I can go from sewing quilt pieces to making a fancy dress for the holiday. It performs like a full size machine. It is so simple to use that I have taught my grandson, who is homeschooled and 13, to use it for projects intended for Christmas presents. Comment: I bought this thinking it would be a great cheap way for me to get started sewing. Bad idea! They get you with the "sample" that they put on every machine to make you think they will all work, but it's just junk. I had my mother and my grandmother (both experts with sewing machines) try to get this machine to thread properly, and nothing. It can't sew on anything except really thick cloth, otherwise it jams and picks up too much thread, making lots of loops and getting tangled up. The worst is they're going to take half of the cost of this back when I return it because I didn't have time to try it until recently. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CHEAP JUNK! If you really want to get into sewing, pay the extra $40 and get a singer or a WELL made brand. QuikStitch should be ashamed of this incredibly poorly made product. Customer Rating: Summary: You get what you pay for Comment: This product is extremely cheap in price, also a cheap proctuct itself. I had a lot of problems with setting up this product and after an hour of trying to set it up I found that a very small peice was broken, so small that I could barely see it but played a very big part in how it sewed. The sellers would not refund my shipping for it and I would have to pay to ship it back, which I did not think it was worth the hassle. I bought a very nice one, Project Runway Special Edition, and it took me less than 10 min. to set up, very good stitching. More Reviews Complete machine mending in minutes! A light colour will make your room appear larger. Because kitchens are working rooms where moisture, grease and dust collect choose a wipe clean surface such smooth vinyl. Avoid embossed papers as they accumulate dirt, are hard to clean and easily graze. |
