Customer Reviews of Joyce Chen Saladacco Spiral Slicer, White
Customer Rating: Summary: Great! Comment: It is so easy to make thin-spagetti-cut of vegitable!!! Just turn the handle. It is very thin than spilooni, but it is too good to eat hard vegetablle in raw, and it is so pretty! It is so cheep and I am so happy to get it. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product! Comment: I followed the instructions for this spiral slicer off the rawgourmet.com website and had no trouble whatsoever. There was very little waste just a small piece at the end. I practiced first on a small potato and it made perfect angel hair pasta! Customer Rating: Summary: More trouble than its worth Comment: This product is cheaply made. One day I hope I will learn how to handle this finicky product just so I don't feel like I completely wasted my money. For a product with such a specified purpose, I would have thought it would work, but it is NOT well designed. Don't throw away your money on this. Customer Rating: Summary: Nice idea but seems to be lacking in quality control Comment: I had to send my saladacco back because the parts didn't fit properly together for it to be functional. After reading other reviews, I decided it wasn't worth trying to get another. Customer Rating: Summary: Useless Comment: The Joyce Chen spiral slicer is useless. It worked great for a week, cutting zuchini, onions, carrots, potatoes, and any other solid vegetable. After week 1, the handle spun around, while the food sat motionless. I'll stick to my Cutco knives. More Reviews Create Asian style salads and dramatic vegetable garnishes with Joyce Chen's Spiral Slicer. One setting makes paper-thin slices while the other produces clouds of spaghetti-like strands. It also makes julienne strips and half rounds for a variety of dishes. The slicer, with its stainless steel blades, is dishwasher safe. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwasher Choose a dishwasher with sturdy compression springs in the door. Also look for tough, lightweight nylon or graphite racks with cushioned tips that protect glassware and cookware. Weimer recommends choosing a model with a rack design that provides the largest, most flexible interior space and is configured for your belongings, including odd-shaped pieces. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Check the capacity. 'Standard' 60cm wide dishwashers can take 12, 14 or 16 place settings, whilst slimline 45cm models may cater for 7, 8 or 9 place settings. Compact dishwashers tend to be 45 cm wide and can be placed on the worktop or built in, depending on the model. They may take 4, 5 or 6 place settings. Joyce Chen Saladacco Spiral Slicer, White Useful info -> Water Filters Of course the market for bottled water is still massive, but you might be interested, even surprised to know that one of the largest growing sectors in water consumption at home is in the installation of water filter systems, that provide virtually unlimited quantities of pure water, straight from the mains, through a dedicated tap that provides water, pure and simple. |
