After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to buy this one because of it's durability and weight. We both love it! Customer Rating:  Summary: Cast Iron cooking at a great price Comment: I received this as a gift and have already put it to use several times. If you are looking for a heavy weight wok, than this is the one. I have an electric range and it sets nicely on the burner and I've found that if I leave it to heat up for about 5 minutes before adding anything in it does really well at maintaining its heat. I do recommend seasoning it before using it the first time. I wiped mine down with regular Crisco and set it in a warm oven (250-300 degrees) for about an hour. After cooking that first time I did season it once more just to get the cast iron broken in a bit quicker. My favorite recipe is Chicken Stir-fry and if you're interested in it please check out my guide for it along with some other items that go great with this product. Comment: I just got the wok I ordered for my parents' x-mas gift, the entire handle is broken off...I gave it a 3 star because it looks like it wouldn't be that bad if it hadn't been broken...It looks like it would hold up fine with everyday use, just not being thrown around like they do at UPS...This sucks! It turns out great stir-frys and it's a breeze to season. I seasoned it a couple of times and it looks great. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'd like to have a lid for it (stainless steel or cast iron) and it's unavailable. Great piece to use daily and even better to pass on to your loved ones. More Reviews Who says you can't enjoy your favorite stir-fry dish on the grill? Instead of cooking indoors, cook out using this wok. It's made of cast iron so it heats up evenly and stays hot for those flash-fry meals. Create an all-veggie dish or add something creative to the mix like barbecue chicken or marinated prawns. Two side handles are wide, offering enough room for grabbing even with cooking mitts on. Flat-bottomed, however not recommended for ceramic-top stoves.

If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Keen cooks may want to take advantage of multi-function ovens - usually aimed at the top end of the market. As well as traditional cooking, fan or fan-assisted cooking and grilling, these ovens offer up to nine further functions.
