Customer Rating:  Summary: So far, so good Comment: We ordered these from Amazon two months ago at a special price. So far, they're great. The handles stay cool, and I love being able to see what's cooking. We've thrown them right into the dishwasher with everything else, and the finish still looks like new--that won't last forever, but for now they're great. Comment: I purchased this set of pots and pans for my daughter who has been using the old hand me downs from the parents. She loves them. She said the handles are great and stay cool. You can't beat it... Comment: I bought this set on sale on Amazon for about $60 + 3.99 overnight shipping with Amazon Prime (awesome by the way)...VERY Pleased! I'd give the set about a 7 out of 10 on overall quality because, obviously, there are much more expensive sets that I'm sure are better. But, for a single guy that enjoys to cook, I was tickled to death to get these! Had them about 3 weeks now and quality/ fit and finish of these are excellent considering the price. A GREAT middle of the line set that gives you tons of features like the silicone handles and non-stick surfaces at an affordable price. Non-stick interiors seem to resist scratching in general use. Clean easily. Clear lids a big bonus. Color pleasant enough, but a little drab. I believe these utensils will last a long time. I found them on sale at a local store but they were $5 more which really wasn't bad because that included a couple of cookie pans and some spatchulas, but I'm happy. I like shopping Amazon.com. As the set contains only basic pieces, you'll really use each and every pan. Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Choosing Appliance -> Mixer Pretty much the same thoughts as the food processor. High quality mixers are great for making bread or other tough jobs. Every kitchen should have one. Be sure that any mixer has all three attachments: paddle, dough hook, and whip.
