Customer Reviews of Zojirushi BB-HAC10 Home Bakery 1-Pound-Loaf Programmable Mini Breadmaker
Customer Rating: Summary: great gift Comment: I gave this as a Christmas gift, and they loved it. now after using it almost everyday since Christmas they can't go on with out eating something made from it everyday. I was told it was easy to use and made some good things to eat. So it looks like all good for the gift giver! As far as the shipping no problems. the The gift giver and receiver are very happy, and can recommend both Amazon and the product. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Bread Machine Comment: I have owned several bread machines including an original one-pound Zojirushi. This one is much studier than the others (including the original). The loaves turn out better in this machine than in the earlier version. It is relatively quiet and the bread and doughs made in it are great. The one minor problem is the shape of the pan. One pound loaves come out taller than wider, so there are fewer slices (but larger) when the bread is sliced. This is a design change over the earlier version, probably to aid in the mixing and kneading. But this change has improved the final quality of the bread. Customer Rating: Summary: I love this machine Comment: This one pound bread machine is easy to use and turns out perfect bread and cakes every time. The one pound size is perfect for us (two people) but could easily satisfy a family of four or six. Watching the VHS tape before you start is highly recommended. My only recommendation: produce a DVD since a lot of folks no longer have a VHS player. Customer Rating: Summary: Practice makes perfect Comment: I just compared my loaf of bread to Pepperidge Farm. Mine contains butter instead of soybean oil, NO dough conditioner, NO distilled monoglycerides, NO calcium propionate, NO soy fiber and NO soy lecithin. That's a good start. But my first loaf using 100% whole wheat flour was disappointing, fell after rising. I tried again using my own measuring spoons instead of the included Zojirushi measuring spoon and had better luck. See the customer images for a comparison. 100% whole wheat flour is low on gluten and so it's a challenge for making bread. Next I'll try adding some "loaf improvers" (gluten) from the King Arthur Flour web site. Maybe a few sunflower seeds and some oats too. Machine Pros: small size, quiet!, easy to use and clean. Cons: None. Customer Rating: Summary: Better than advertised! Comment: My wife has been wanting a bread maker for quite a while, so when she finally approached me about this particular model, I was skeptical. But this was a more than pleasant surprise! Her first bread was just a normal loaf of white bread with the soft setting. Even so, I did not expect the bread to be that good, and the crust was firm but not too firm. The next project was to make dough for anpan, which is a Japanese sweet bun filled with red bean paste (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anpan). Why hasn't it made it big yet in this country, I'll never know. In any case, she prepared the bread according to the recipe she downloaded from some bread making site, and in a little while, we were enjoying fresh hot anpan, right from the oven. I dare say it was better than the majority of ones we usually buy from the bakeries. All in all, I normally don't write reviews, but I have to give credit where it's due. For a small family, this should be a great addition to the kitchen. More Reviews Zojirushi Home Bakery BBHAC10 Breadmaker - Zojirushi BB HAC10 Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens The standard 60cm oven has been joined by various other sizes. Now consumers can choose from 60,70 and 90cm wide built-in single ovens. Always check the internal capacity shown in litres as well as the external dimensions. Zojirushi BB-HAC10 Home Bakery 1-Pound-Loaf Programmable Mini Breadmaker Useful info -> Kitchen tips Shelves or cabinets above the cook top can hold foods that aren't affected by warmth, such as pasta, rice, and cereal. A shelf just below these cabinets but above the cook top can transform the space into a cooking workshop, providing a handy resting place for timers, spices, cooking supplies and implements. |
