Customer Rating:  Summary: Best Pepper Mill Ever Comment: I have had many Pepper Mills and consider myself an accomplished cook. This is the best Pepper Mill I have ever owned. It looks great and is especially nice with a "Stainless Steel Kitchen". It is very convenient and can be used with just one hand. It is a must for every serious cook or Foodie! Customer Rating:  Summary: pour warranty Comment: I had this product for less than four months and it broke. The glass part separated from the stainless steel. I called peugeot and they said "There life time warranty is only for the grinder part not the whole pepper mill. What a joke... Needless to say they would not replace it. Customer Rating: Summary: Can't open it Comment: I had to bring it to work so a co-worker could open it. I had tried opening it for two weeks after receiving it - every night after work, I'd come home, and give it the old heave ho with all my strength, using rubber gloves, banging it on the countertop, etc -- all the tricks we use to get things open. But ultimately it takes a man's grip to get the mill to open. Once my co-worker opened it for me, I put in the telecherry peppercorns I had at home rather than the one supplied with the box - big mistake. These peppercorns are too big to be ground (it doesn't grind peppercorns that are 5cm or larger). So now I have to bring it back to work to have someone open it again, so it can be emptied and filled with the stale peppercorns supplied by Peugeot. In a word -- this is just too much trouble. I paid a lot of money for it because I am a fussy cook and wanted really good pepper using a fun grinder (with a light!) But without a man around the house to open it for me for refills and whatnot, it's just a paperweight. Customer Rating: Summary: We use it everyday Comment: We've had this pepper mill for 9 months. We love it. The grind selection is a must for us, and you can really tell the difference between the different courseness options. Worth the extra money if you use pepper everyday. Useful info -> Kitchen Design By custom, the sink is placed beneath a window, both to provide daylight for chores done there and to give one a view outdoors. I suppose the custom derives from the days before dishwashers, when the task of washing up was a tedious affair done by hand. Yet working at a sink with a window is still much more pleasant than working at a sink without one. Designers often place the sink first and lay out the rest of the work triangle from there |
