Customer Reviews of Emile Henry Bake for the Cause 9-Inch Pie Dish, Pink
Customer Rating: Summary: A nonshiny, non goldenglow pink pie plate! Comment: For some reason many online ads for this pink pie dish give it a golden glow or glimmer, especially around the edges. In reality, it lacks that. The pie dish is plain pink; but I got one for a steal for $21.00 from Amazon's warehouse. The fluted edge is pretty; and a cherry pie would look wonderful in it, or a chocolate meringue! Customer Rating: Summary: Cherry Pie Shower Gift Comment: This pink pie pan was the perfect gift at one of my best friend's bridal shower. I filled the dish with faux cherries and topped it off with a lattice pie crust (easily weaved with brown ribbon). The "cherry pie" was paired with the Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook (Pink Plaid Edition). Both items were packaged in a bakery box, wrapped with pink paper and embellished with complimentary ribbon. Later, the cherries can be poured into a decorative glass bowl as a reminder to the newlyweds, "Life is a bowl full of cherries." Customer Rating: Summary: Beautiful Comment: The pink pie dish looks very pretty and when I don't use it, I have it on my sideboard so I can see it every day. It bakes wonderful in the oven and looks very pretty baked with an apple pie or cherry pie on the table. Plus donating for breast cancer is always a good thing to do. More Reviews Pretty in pink, this cute 9" pie dish gives you good cause to bake - 10% of every purchase goes to breast cancer research. Featuring a classic scalloped, wavy rim and a warm pink color, the dish is almost as inviting as the pie inside. Constructed of durable Burgundy clay, the same material Emile Henry has been using for over 150 years, the strong glaze allows bakers to cut into the pie dish without scratching or marring the surface. Choosing Appliance -> Spatulas Buy a sturdy stainless spatula for general uses and a Teflon spatula for your non-stick pan. In addition, buy a silicon baking spatula for scraping bowls. Silicon is an amazing substance which is heat resistant up to 550 degrees. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Emile Henry Bake for the Cause 9-Inch Pie Dish, Pink Useful info -> Dishwashers Energy efficiency is of paramount importance, not only to save money on electricity bills but also to help reduce power station emissions that contribute to global warming. Look for brands with low energy consumption (energy efficiency ratings will be displayed in the showroom). Levels are now as low as 1.3kW/hr on some slimline models largely because of reduced water consumption. A delay timer can help take advantage of cheap overnight electricity. |
