Customer Reviews of Waring Pro SB30 1300-Watt Portable Single Burner
Customer Rating: Summary: If you need an electric burner, this one's worth having. Comment: Although I don't use the burner often, it's really helpful. It does take a while to heat up to the temperature that I need it to be (that's the only drawback)but once it's heated up, it does a good job. I'm pleased with it and I'm happy to have it. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Electric Burner Comment: This is the best electric burner I have used. It costs more than most but well worth it. It draws quite a bit of electricity but does the job of a professional burner. If a gas burner is not appropriate, this is what you want. Customer Rating: Summary: use in the bathroom Comment: I use this Portable Single Burner when I use the bathroom for extended periods. I can even turn it on while on the toilet, just plug it in, open a can of pork & beans and heat them up. Works well with coffee, eggs, light toast and other food. One downside is that it has no handles to pick it up so if you are in the tub you can electrocute yourself if you are cooking supper while bathing. Customer Rating: Summary: I am totally satisfied with this purchase Comment: In June, I moved into an apartment with a gas stove. Since it has been about 20 years since I've cooked with gas, I was lost. After researching hot plates, I settled on the Waring Pro and have been using it for weeks. I am very glad that I have this. It works beautifully. It is fast has 5 heat ranges of MIN to high and between. It has a light that tells me when it has reached my setting. And best yet, it behaves the way an electric range would with minimal cleanup. I would advise anyone who asks me to definitely buy this product. Customer Rating: Summary: It's stainless steel but the plastic sides melted in its third use Comment: All the above reviews are correct. However; none of the reviewers mentioned that the cheap plastic side walls of the burner melted. This Pro Burner should have been all stainless steel. More Reviews Whether you're cooking an ambitious meal or need a portable electric stovetop burner, the Waring Pro SB30 is ready to be put to task. Limited One Year Warranty Choosing Appliance -> Mixer Pretty much the same thoughts as the food processor. High quality mixers are great for making bread or other tough jobs. Every kitchen should have one. Be sure that any mixer has all three attachments: paddle, dough hook, and whip. Also, find a spot on the counter where it can be easily accessed at a moment's notice. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes. Waring Pro SB30 1300-Watt Portable Single Burner Kitchen tips -> Sharpening Knife A dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one, because you apply to it more pressure and force to cut through foods. It can easily slip out of place as you use it and you can harm yourself. Keep your knives in good working condition by sharpening according to their use and time. There's no specified amount of time, because knives vary as much as their use; although, you can easily determine if they need sharpening by the way they cut/slice foods. If a knife can slice through a tomato and tear the skin, then it needs sharpening. If, on the other hand, the cut is clean and quick without any tears, then it needs not be sharpened. |
