Customer Reviews of Pasta Master
Customer Rating: Summary: Wish I could find where to return it . . . Comment: I used my Paster Master for the first time, followed directions to a tee, and even though the pasta turned out great, the plastic cylinder cracked from top to bottom in two places rendering it completely useless to me. I have the instruction page but not an address as to where to return the item. I don't recommend this product at all. I imagine there are similar manufacturers who make far superior products that cook pasta the same way. Try them instead of this one. More Reviews This unit really takes the work out of cooking pasta---JUST POUR IN THE BOILING WATER, SNAP ON THE LID, AND WAIT. DON'T SHAKE IT--THE HOT WATER CAN COME OUT--Just LET IT SIT for seven or more more minutes until its soft or AL DENTE!! Cooking time depends on how you like it! (Personally I just let it sit while I watch the news. If it gets cold I change the water so its hot. Eazee! Lazee!) Finally drain the water out of the unit through its straining lid and then, POUR THE PASTA INTO A BOWL OR RIGHT UNTO YOUR PLATE-- ECCOLA! MANGIA!! FA BENE!! TUTTI I BUONO! (ITALIAN FOR EAT! ITS ALL GOOD!) You can also add a teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil in the beginning to the hot water if you like more flavor. No More funky pots and strainers to clean!!! Store it in the cupboard with more dry spaghetti inside. Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot. Choosing Appliance -> Mixer Pretty much the same thoughts as the food processor. High quality mixers are great for making bread or other tough jobs. Every kitchen should have one. Be sure that any mixer has all three attachments: paddle, dough hook, and whip. Also, find a spot on the counter where it can be easily accessed at a moment's notice. Pasta Master Kitchen tips -> Lasagne When boiling lasagne noodles, because of their size, it is best to add 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent the noodles from sticking together. Avoid using oil when boiling other noodles because the oil will prevent the sauce from sticking to the noodles properly |
