Great value and the fam. is happy to have it in our appliance stock. Customer Rating: Summary: Magnificent! Comment: I never expected deep frying to be this easy, but the real joy is the clean-up. First thing to notice is the amount of thought put into engineering this deep fryer. It has simple digital settings and state controls. I have made french fries, onion rings, and sweet potato french fries. The user friendly system beeps loudly to notify you when the desired oil temperature has been reached. At this time you can set the cook timer and slowly submerge the food basket. Once cooking timer expires, you can hang the basket on the convenient rest area and drain the oil before serving. Simple as can be. The food tastes delicious every time. The true advantage of this deep fryer shines after cooking completes. Basically all the oil used in the frying process can be recycled and used over and over again with little effort. After waiting for about 3 hours for the oil to cool, the oil filtration process can be activated by simply flipping a switch. The oil is filtered as it is drained into the oil box at the bottom of the machine. It can simply be kept there for future use. To use it again, just slide out the oil box and pour it into the fryer. The filtration process is very effective in removing even the finest particles, so the oil remains clean. Cleaning is a snap. The control panel is removable, and the heating elements simply need a wipe down with a moist paper towel. The basin fully comes out and can be washed in the sink or in the dish washer. That's it. The safety of the user is not an afterthought. The magnetic power cord breaks away in case it is pulled, and a sturdy lid with silicon webbing for covering the gaps both prevent spillage, or splashing of hot oil. I cannot stress enough the quality and ease of use of this product. I recommend it to anyone interested in deep frying. Customer Rating: Summary: Do not buy it!!!! Comment: In a country obsessed with safety this is a product remarkable by the lack of it. If you one forgets to put the lever on the draining oil position, you will have about 12 cups of oil all over your kitchen. The oil leaks as soon as you one place it in the fryer. Very poor materialization of a good idea. I bought it thinking that the draining of the oil in a container would avoid the mess. Once again, do not buy this product, unless you want reasons to try new cleaning products and keep the economy going!!! Choosing Appliance -> Do I need a dishwasher? If you enjoy washing by hand, no! However modern machines use less water, detergent and power than ever before and wash hotter using really powerful cleaners giving a hygienic wash result. You can save around 500 hours a year so it is worth thinking about. If you have a small kitchen or live alone, choose a slimline model. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening!
