Customer Reviews of Crock-Pot Oval Programmable 5.5-qt. Crock Pot - Metallic Red
Customer Rating: Summary: Real Simple Magazine Rated this in the top 3 out of 12 cookers Comment: Real Simple Magazine Rated this in the top 3 out of 12 cookers they tested (January 2008). I don't actually own it, but I've been spending months reviewing cookers and I'm tired of looking and reading reviews, so this is the one I'm going to buy. "The timers on most cookers start at four hours, leaving you to set a separate timer for quick recipes, like cakes. This one starts at 30 minutes." Other top cookers were the expensive Cuisinart 6.5 Qt at $100 and the All-Clad 6.5 qt. slow cooker with ceramic insert at $150. Customer Rating: Summary: I love it Comment: It has been a long time since I used a crock pot and decided to give one another try. This is great: easy to use, attractive for serving company and so easy to clean. A "keeper"! More Reviews Choosing Appliance -> Sinks Consider which accessories might be beneficial. Many models can be supplied with a draining basket, chopping board and strainer bowls. A drainer extension can be useful for sinks without a drainer where worktop space is limited in a small kitchen. Choosing Appliance -> Knives The importance of high quality knives can't be stressed enough! Buy the best you can and expect to spend some serious money. It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Start with a chef knife and paring knife. You will also want to buy a sharpening steel. Crock-Pot Oval Programmable 5.5-qt. Crock Pot - Metallic Red Useful info -> Granite Granite is an igneous rock. It is formed as a result of the slow crystallisation of molten magma at depth in the earth's crust. Uplift and erosion has over millions of years resulted in this material outcropping at the surface. The minerals which make up granite are generally quartz, felspars and various mafic minerals (amphiboles, pyroxenes, micas and secondary materials). It is the size, distribution and precise chemistry of these minerals which give the granite it's colour. The silica content of granite should be at least 70%. In the stone industry "granite" has been a term applied to almost all igneous rocks and schists. |
