Comment: These glasses are really beautiful and graceful, and they hold the heat very well; they make a nice presentation, are surprisingly durable, and it seems I'm going to have to order another set! Customer Rating: Summary: Dimensions not accurate, but still great cups Comment: I just measured the cup, too, not because I was disappointed in the size or how it looks, but because people are complaining about the size. Yes, the dimensions are a little off, but the cup looks exactly like what is pictured and it most assuredly holds 10 ounces of liquid, keeping in mind that 10 ounces is the completely FULL amount, so it safely holds about 8-9 ounces of coffee, tea, latte, whatever. If the Senseo machine overflows with a 2 cup coffee, that's not the fault of this cup. I suggest you adjust your Senseo. They are no more fragile than your average wine glass or tumbler. All glass will break if you aren't careful with it. These cups run through the dishwasher just fine. If you are tossing them in a sink full of dirty dishes to wash them, I could see where that might be a problem, if you aren't careful -- but again, no more of a problem than any other glassware. The double wall is excellent for hot drinks. I haven't served anything cold in them, so I can't speak to the nonsweating aspect. For hot drinks, though, they are fabulous. My husband can now hand me my tea without saying, "Be careful, it's hot." You can hold it around the cup and it's not hot at all, really nice. Also, the handle is big enough for my three fingers to hold the cup, and it's very light, not like ceramic mugs. I like them so much that I just ordered another set. I'm replacing all my other coffee/tea cups with these. Customer Rating:  Summary: Fragile and handle with care Comment: I thought they are nice and bought 4 sets when they are on sale. However it is very disappointing to receive it. They do not look as nice as from the pic. It feels like plastic rather than glass because it is very thin. Also, it is very fragile. Used them immediately for long shot expressos and lattes. Cool to the touch, comfortable to hold. Very happy with them. Will buy other pieces in the future when they are available. Customer Rating: Summary: Not pretty but Functional Comment: Cons: 1. These are not pretty (at least to me). There is too much empty space along the base between the 2 glass walls. It looks weird. But I dont care, since I am more concerned about the functional aspects and the price. Pros: 1. They dont break when using hot water (170F) or cold water. Some of the other reviewer comments had me really worried. 2a. They do what they say.. hot drink dont feel hot, yet stay hot for longer. 2b. Cold drinks dont mist up the outside glass wall and stay colder for longer. 3. Very light. I hate heavy stuff, that why I'm a Corelle fan. Facts: 1. If you drop them.. they will break. They are fragile!! With great features comes great responsibility, so please be very careful. 2. They hold 10ounces of fluid which is as much liquid as a regular mug. Useful info -> Tips If you plan to install a dishwasher, place it close to the sink. Where you choose to put it might depend on whether you're right- or left-handed and on the path dishes are likely to take when cleared from the table. Also consider the choreography of two people loading and unloading the machine |
