Customer Rating:  Summary: Belgique Stainless Steel Cookware Review Comment: FANTASTIC COOKWARE!! The reason for the high marks on this review is that I did purchase a set of Belgique Cookware (Tools of the Trade) only after a disappointing experience when ordering it from a vendor on the Amazon website. Have used the cookware, and give it extermely high marks. My on line ordering experience: The cookware was posted on the website as Belgique - at a very good price. (Did research stanless steel cookware and Belgique always got high marks.) The price posted was $30 less than others selling Belgique. Checked the vendors selling history and remarks by others ordering from this vendor and they were good. When the cookware arrived, the box was clearly marked "Belgique - Tools of the Trade". BUT when opened, it was a mix-matched set of several other brands of cookware. Contacted Amazon immediately, explained that the contents were lids, pots and pans, and a skillet - all various brands of cookware. Nothing matched - not even the lids. (There were 2 small pots that were Belgique, but they had no lids.) Expressed my disapointment and shock. Have NEVER been disappointed with anything ordered from Amazon. Within several hours, Amazon sent an apology and my account was credited. Would never hesitate to order from Amazon, but HIGH MARKS cannot be given to the VENDOR selling this cookware. It would help if the vendor checked the product thoroughly before posting it on the website for sale. It was not a good reflection on the integrity and honesty of the vendor. It could be termed "false advertising" for Belgique "Tools of the Trade" which is truly amazing stainless steel cookware. Amazon's quick response and response by the vendor selling Belgique deserve a good review too. Was pleased with the customer service 100%. My only disappointment was not receiving what I believed I was ordering. Customer Rating: Summary: Fancy cookers Comment: I received these pots and pans for my college graduation and I have absolutely fallen in love with them! They replaced a set that I had bought at Big Lots to get me by during school and boy is there a HUGE difference! When I once thought I was a terrible cook because I would burn everything, these pots and pans proved that I still have a hope to become an expert in the kitchen. They are also very stylish looking, I love the rounded shape and silicone grippers. Now all my friends, even my mom, are extremely jealous of my chic kitchen set. I highly recommend this set to anyone who is looking to replace their old pots and pans. Customer Rating: Summary: If you value your time--these are a must have Comment: I read reviews and was a little skeptical about whether I wanted these pans or not. What made me want them is their shape. I've had a few pans over my cooking career and pans that are straight up and down have a tendency to burn or stick food at the corner where the bottom meets the sides. A rounded pan sets up a roiling motion as it heats which keeps food/liquid in that area moving so it doesn't stick. I saw these pans by accident and couldn't wait to order them. Then other reviews says to turn the heat way down. Well no kiddin'!! That's because these pans are so efficient with heat that you could cook with them over a candle!! My daughter washed and dried one and then threw some butter in--no heat while she gathered some other ingredients together. She was totally surprised to find the butter melted! There was enough heat left in the bottom to melt the butter without turning on the burner. Anyone wanting to cut fuel costs should invest in these pans. I'd say a solid forth to one third savings could be realized easily. I have two identical skillets--one with copper and one stainless steel. Side by side cooking bacon and the copper bottom one is ready to turn minutes before the stainless steel one. So get the copper bottom ones. Can't say enough good about these pans. I had no problem getting labels off or soaking to make sure the copper didn't turn dark. However, I don't give a kiss whether the copper stays pretty--I like the way these suckers cook!! This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine. With a front loader, you'll also save more on clothes drying, because they remove more water from your clothes during the spin cycle. Look for the Energy Star label. Choosing Appliance -> Do I need a dishwasher? If you enjoy washing by hand, no! However modern machines use less water, detergent and power than ever before and wash hotter using really powerful cleaners giving a hygienic wash result. You can save around 500 hours a year so it is worth thinking about. If you have a small kitchen or live alone, choose a slimline model.
