Customer Reviews of Helen Chen's Asian Kitchen Excalibur Nonstick 14-Inch Lidded Wok
Customer Rating: Summary: EXCALIBUR, YES ! XYLAN, NO ! Comment: From a performance/durability standpoint, the two types of nonstick surfaces (if one has to assume the risk of using ANY nonstick coating, at all) seem as different as is conceivable. With EXCALIBUR, one is likely to eat fairly-unadulerated food for a reasonable amount of months or years. With XYLAN, one is probably going to be eating XYLAN, also, VERY quickly! Also, Harold Import is a fine supplier. Those folks stand by their guarantee of complete satisfaction ! Excalibur is a nonstick material that is reinforced with stainless steel, resulting in a p Choosing Appliance -> Range Cookers The way you cook is also key to deciding which type of range cooker to choose. No-frills heat storage ranges such as Agas retain heat they have gradually built up and generally have two ovens without temperature controls - the hot oven is for roasting and baking, the cool one for slow cooking/keeping warm. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. The hole allows the burger to cook from the inside and outside, producing a more evenly cooked burger |
