Customer Reviews of Scanpan Classic Ceramic Titanium 12-1/2-Inch Chef/Saute Pan with Cover
Customer Rating: Summary: Great frying pan! Comment: My 2nd Scanpan, a bit expensive but very much worth it! It replaces a simply Caphalon pan that had hot spots. This works just as I hoped/expected. More Reviews This covered deep Chef/Saute pan has a thick base, which allows you to cook your food in an evenly heated pan with less heat than a thinner base would permit. Other features include a heat-tempered glass lid, a heat-resistant handle, and a nonstick Ceramic Titanium interior surface that is safe for use with metal utensils and won't crack, peel, or blister. The Chef/Saute pan is oven-safe to 500 degrees. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Scanpan Classic Ceramic Titanium 12-1/2-Inch Chef/Saute Pan with Cover Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Cleaning & Maintenance Oven Never use a scouring pad of any sort to remove stubborn stains or soiled areas, since these pads scratch the finish and any future soiled areas won't clean up as well, especially with the self-cleaning models. When the oven is cool to the touch, place a cloth or sponge, dampened with warm to hot tap water, onto the soiled area and allow it to sit, for about ten minutes or so, to help loosen the soil. |
