Customer Reviews of Le Creuset Stoneware 8-Ounce Petite Round Covered Casserole, Caribbean
Customer Rating: Summary: Le Creuset Comment: I love Le Creuset cookware and when I discovered these little 8 ounce pots, I knew they would fill many uses. These petite stoneware covered pots are oven-proof, so you can bake individual dishes in them such as custards, pies and tarts, rice and pasta dishes. I also serve soups in them - hot or cold. The lid helps retain the temperature of the contents. I also serve cheese spreads, hummus, and many other condiments or sauces in these little pots. You can create a tray of appetizers, snacks, and hors d'ouvres, using one or several different colored pots on a tray amid crackers and bread or whatever you choose. I have all the colors Le Creuset makes. On the Fourth of July I prepared a simple "red, white, and blue" presentation of dips and salsas. Whether you serve a group of food items or individual servings, the size is right. You will love these versatile little containers. More Reviews This Petite Casserole is the perfect size for accenting a table with dips, condiments, cheeses, salsas and aioli. The lid makes it practical for heating up sauces, microwaving and keeping snacks fresh. You can bake charming individual portions while entertaining guests. The Petite Casserole is a stylish and verstaile kitchen essential. About Le Creuset... Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset cookware in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. Each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is handcast, polished, double enamel-coated and then fired, resulting in some of the finest quality cookware available. Cast iron is one of the best materials for distributing heat gently and thoroughly and is ideal for induction ranges. The strong enamel coating will not absorb odors or flavors, and is easy to clean. Heavy lids securely seal in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset cookware comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to match any kitchen and cooking preference. So lasting, you'll pass it on to the next generation of promising cooks. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Washer When shopping for a new washer, look for a front loading (horizontal-axis) machine. This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine. With a front loader, you'll also save more on clothes drying, because they remove more water from your clothes during the spin cycle. Look for the Energy Star label. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers A large number of freezers have eliminated defrosting by continually circulating the air inside the freezer compartment, thus avoiding frost build-up -- a feature well worth paying a little extra for. Le Creuset Stoneware 8-Ounce Petite Round Covered Casserole, Caribbean Useful info -> Energy-Efficient Appliances When you're shopping for appliances, you can think of two price tags. The first one covers the purchase price - think of it as a down payment. The second price tag is the cost of operating the appliance during its lifetime. You'll be paying on that second price tag every month with your utility bill for the next 10 to 20 years, depending on the appliance. Refrigerators last an average of 20 years; room air conditioners and dishwashers, about 10 years each; clothes washers, about 14 years. |
