Customer Reviews of Chef'n Sleekstor VeggieSteam - Avocado
Customer Rating: Summary: Fits any pot, protects non-stick, goes in dishwasher Comment: This is a great product. It's flexible, so it can fit in any small to medium-sized pot. It cleans up beautifully in dishwasher. It is much easier to store than a metal steamer. In fact, my mother had the great idea of storing it as a spacer between my non-stick frying pans, so the top one doesn't scratch the one underneath. Have you ever had a kitchen gadget that multi-tasks as it's being STORED? My one complaint was well-articulated by another reviewer: it needs one more handle. It makes a great little gift too. Customer Rating: Summary: Handiest and Healthy Comment: This product is handy and healthy! The flexible, plastic steamer is designed to fit into most pots. The plastic is easy to use and clean. The product works well- vegetables steam up quickly. The handles make retrieving the steamer out of the pot very easy. I don't know how I have steamed vegetables without this product.I highly recommend this steamer. It would make a great addition to any kitchen and/or a great gift. It is very inexpensive and would pay for its use quickly. Customer Rating: Summary: terrific steamer Comment: What a great product! This is the best steamer I've ever owned. It's one of 2 or 3 best kitchen gadgets I've bought in the last year, super versatile, strong, light, flexible, easy on your good pots (I have no problem getting it out of pots), steams veggies perfectly, and best of all, it's really fun to use. Kids love it and want to help with supper just so they can get out the fun steamer and put it in the pot. Imagine you kids actually requesting vegetables for dinner - so they can use the steamer! Customer Rating: Summary: Buyer be aware........... Comment: this product is addictive. You may feel a strong urge to use often. I use daily. I gave one to my 75 year old aunt. She said it was stupid. Now she uses daily. Says it is the most useful thing she has ever had in her kitchen. When she started cooking she didn't have runing water. Figure that. It fits in my 5 1/2 qt Staub and my 1 1/2 qt AllClad. I like to put garlic & stuff in the water to infuse into the vegetables, shrimp, rolls, potatos. Fill a 2 cup plastic container half full of prepared cake mix. Put it in the steamer (no "garlic & stuff" in the water). Cover. Nuke 7 min on medium. Best, most moist cake ever. Little Jiffy Mix is right size. Customer Rating: Summary: Great! Comment: This steamer is so easy to use - and cute! I can easily throw it in a small pot with some water and veggies and let it do the work. I also love the fact that it's microwave and dishwasher safe. I have never used a steamer before, so I had to figure out the correct amount of water to put in without the water boiling up and just boiling the veggies, but now I know. More Reviews No it's not a UFO or a prop from Aliens 3, but it sure is out of this world! The new silicone SleekStor??? VeggiSteam??? from Chef'n will have you throwing out that old metal clunker and making space (although not much!) for this new sleek steamer. We revolutionized the standard vegetable steamer by tossing the post and increasing the surface area so you can steam more than just veggies! Broccoli never tasted so good!Features: Modern non-stick design protects non-stick cookware Fits both small and medium sized pots and pans Unique design for easy storability 650??F/340??C heat resistant silicone body Choosing Appliance -> Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Chef'n Sleekstor VeggieSteam - Avocado Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Stainless Steel Maintenance Wipe away any acid spills such as from vinegar or grapefruit straight away. Never clean the bowl or draining board with an abrasive cleaner. Instead use liquid detergent in warm water and wipe with a soft cloth to remove water drop marks. Care for stainless steel appliance fascias and cabinet fronts in the same way. If choosing stainless steel cabinets, a 'brushed' surface is less likely to show grease from finger marks. |
