Customer Reviews of Chef King 7 Gauge Steel Griddle, 14 Inch x 23 Inch
Customer Rating: Summary: Worth Its Weight Comment: The Chef King Steel Griddle is great quality. Heavy and Solid, it fits over 2 burners of a gas stove or full size grill. It does fit on a ceramic cook top but its weight makes me cautious about setting it down. Nice cooking area. Most importantly, there is NO CHEMICAL COATING on the cooking surface. I've been searching for a plain steel griddle for years. Customer Rating: Summary: Works great! Comment: This is a great size for when our large frying pan isn't large enough. Mostly used for making Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches - we cook the steak, onions and brown the rolls all at the same time. Couldn't even consider a smaller size griddle. More Reviews Outdoor, camping and outfitter use. Size: 14" x 23". Weight: 17 lbs. Constructed of 7 gauge steel. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Chef King 7 Gauge Steel Griddle, 14 Inch x 23 Inch Useful info -> Energy-Efficient Appliances When you do have to shop for a new appliance, look for the Energy Star label. Energy Star appliances have been identified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and DOE as being the most energy-efficient products in their classes. They usually exceed minimum federal standards by a substantial amount. |
