What is Refurbished? When a product is refurbished, it is made to look like and operate as a brand new item should. Items with serious malfunctions are not refurbished, it would cost too much to refurbish them to 'like new' condition. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwasher Choose a dishwasher with sturdy compression springs in the door. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. Useful info -> Is stainless steel really stainless? Choose a good quality sink to avoid problems later. Buy cheap and you will discover that stainless steel can stain and even rust! Mild acids such as vinegar will promote rust in stainless steel where the nickel content is low. Stronger acids such as those used by photo processors will have a detrimental effect on all stainless steels. |
