Customer Reviews of Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor
Customer Rating: Summary: Still a kitchen classic Comment: Could it really be that the cuisinart classic offered from Amazon was the same sturdy kitchen workhorse that I received as a wedding gift 15 years ago? Offered at 30% less than I know my mom paid for it then? Yes, yes Virginia it is true. Except for the fact that this model still weighs more than the motor in your Prius, and occasionally you might want a larger capacity work bowl, you really ought to have one. Your cooking will improve and your teeth might even whiten on their own if you order one. Mine did. Customer Rating: Summary: Terrific food processor! Quick delivery! Comment: This is my third Cuisinart food processor. I do a lot of cooking and would be lost without it. I especially like this latest model because the plastic bowl and lid pieces are meant to go in the dishwasher, which means they won't slowly crumble like on my last Cuisinart. Also, the old pieces fit on this machine, which gives me a spare (slightly eroded) bowl and lid. A few years ago, I replaced one of the lid pieces at a cost of about $35. This time, I received a whole new machine for $100 (used ones are going for $75 on eBay). What a deal! Customer Rating: Summary: The food processor to own Comment: Does all I expected and more, a true value, all others I looked at don't come with attachments like this one. Cuisinart is the best. Customer Rating: Summary: Cuisinart Comment: It's an awesome food processor. Grew up on one, now it's in my home too. Customer Rating: Summary: Kitchen wonderland Comment: If you have the space for this baby, it will be your best friend. With this product you can cook a dinner for 100 vegetarians and still have time for a pedicure. Cleaning them is a bit of a pain... but with the time it saved you from peeling and slicing, it's a small price to pay. More Reviews 7 Cup Capacity, Food Processor, Includes: Stainless Steel Chopping/Mixing Blade, Dough Blade For Kneading Up To 2 LB Bread/Pizza Dough, Medium Slicing & Shredding Discs, Both Expanded & Small Feed Tubes, Compact Cover & 30 Minute "How To" Video Included, 3 Year Limited Warranty. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor Useful info -> Taps The three-way tap delivers hot and cold water independently or mixed just like a normal kitchen mixer. For purified water in some cases, the centre lever or handle on the tap body is selected, and cold water is diverted to the purification unit which is fitted neatly away under the sink. After purification, the water is channelled through its own waterway inside the tap to deliver purified water at the point-of-use. Alternatives to this delivery system are also available. |
