Customer Rating:  Summary: A great gift! Comment: I got this for my roommate's 21st birthday, and he loved it! 18 oz is the perfect size for about 1.5 beers. It got here really quickly, and it was very carefully packaged. The only downside of the boot is that it's difficult to clean in the toe because of the toe's small size. Overall, a great product with fast, safe shipping. Well a lot has changed since then and now you can capture the fun and excitement of drinking from a German beer boot without the foot oder! These half liter glass beer boots, made wildly popular again after being featured in the movie BeerFest, are slightly smaller, being about the size of your average pub glass, but they hold a generous 18oz (.5 liter), are much easier to hold, and are a fun and entertaining way for you and your friends to drink your favorite beers. Choosing Appliance -> Food Processor This is a big ticket item, but worth its weight in gold. It will save so much time when it comes to simple chopping or more advanced preparations like mayonnaise. As with most things, buy quality-- it will last longer, be capable of tougher jobs, and give you less problems. To make the food processor easiest to use, leave it on the counter top instead of storing it in a cabinet. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Stainless Steel Maintenance Wipe away any acid spills such as from vinegar or grapefruit straight away. Never clean the bowl or draining board with an abrasive cleaner. Instead use liquid detergent in warm water and wipe with a soft cloth to remove water drop marks. Care for stainless steel appliance fascias and cabinet fronts in the same way. If choosing stainless steel cabinets, a 'brushed' surface is less likely to show grease from finger marks. |
