Customer Reviews of Kenwood Slow Speed Slicer Shredder for Chef Stand Mixer
Customer Rating: Summary: This UK mixer is Sweet Comment: Maybe the Kenwood isn't very well known in this country, but it is a powerful mixer. It has more watts for the money than other mixers in it's class. With a wide variety of attachments to choose from, it becomes a versatile kitchen center. I am very pleased with this and recommend it highly. More Reviews This tool, which attaches to the slow-speed outlet on the front of Kenwood's powerful stand mixers (models KM410 Chef Classic and KM800 Major Classic), accomplishes a myriad of slicing, shredding, and grating tasks quickly, cleanly, and in volume. In keeping with Kenwood's international reputation for quality, the tool is durable and first-rate. The cutting drums are made of thick stainless steel, and the feed tube is constructed of heavy, die-cast aluminum. The pusher, which forces food into the tube toward the cutting drums, is tough, durable plastic. Four cutting drums are included: fine grating, coarse shredding, fine slicing, and thick slicing. All work equally well for vegetables, fruits, cheese, nuts, and chocolate, and everything is dishwasher-safe. Kenwood stand-mixer owners will find this tool indispensable. --Fred Brack Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. Kenwood Slow Speed Slicer Shredder for Chef Stand Mixer Useful info -> Built-in Ovens Built-under ovens may be single or double cavity and also need a separate hob. Double cavity ovens are essential if you want to cook one dish and grill another at the same time. |
