More Reviews These highly polished, handsome tongs feature 2-1/2-inch-wide, concave, pronged tips. That makes them far more attractive in the dining room than ordinary kitchen tongs and perfectly at home in a salad bowl--especially one holding fruit. But it doesn't mean this sturdy tool won't serve usefully in the kitchen. In fact, for turning foods in a frying pan, dipping pasta out of boiling water, and delicately handling fish and steamed vegetables, nothing is quite so useful as tongs. Though there are longer kitchen tongs, this length is the most popular, as watching any television cooking show proves.
