Customer Rating:   Summary: cute shakers, I like it for what it is Comment: hey, if the price is right, I might order another set. Each person should have their own. of thick glass and brushed magnetic stainless steel. Its not really a screw top lid. There are two notches in the lid that goes into a grove and you turn it about a quarter of a circle to hold it on. There is no seal in the lid. Coupled with the fit of the lid, its not really going to keep everything in (good enough for me). two inches high, about 1-7/8 inch tall column of salt, pepper or whatever. One lid has 9 holes in a square arrangement and the other 3 in a line. I might add a silicone seal and maybe enlarge the holes a tad bit for not-so-fine spices.. solid. size is a preference. Customer Rating: Summary: Mini Salt & Pepper Set Comment: When they say "Mini" they really mean "mini"! The size is more for a child's teaset or Tom Thumb & Thumbalena. I was very disappointed in the size (both height and width) of this set. It is definitely NOT worth the price that they charged for it. I can go into Walmart and purchase a full size set for half of what they are charging. Customer Rating: Summary: Work Wonderful! PERFECT OUTPUT. Stylish & Compact Comment: I ordered these in spite of almost being scared off by the prior review about meager output, but then thought, "it is what I am looking for and I can send them back if they don't measure up." When I got them I grabbed my store bought pre-loaded typical paper Morton Salt and Pepper shakers and noted the the hole size looked about the same. I then partially filled these new salt and pepper shakers from salt and pepper from the Morton store shakers and later from standard bulk salt & pepper containers from the store (note: I put salt in the 3 holed one- the product description messed this up - probably something the other reviewer missed) and tested them on a plate. The output of salt and pepper was perfect from both sources. Not too heavy to spoil your food in one shake but a perfect even scattering of both salt and pepper in 2 to 4 shakes. I wouldn't want them to put out more at one time. These are perfect functioning non-imposing and stylish little salt and pepper shakers. They appear to hold about 1 ounce each and will probably last quit a while between fillings with normal use. Highly recommended if stylish, compact, and functional salt & pepper shakers is what you are looking for. Customer Rating: Summary: They don't work well. Comment: These shakers really don't dispense salt and pepper very well. They're cute and small, but my guests have to shake for an extended period of time to get anything out of them (and I was using regular table salt and pepper -- nothing fancy). They're really not functional -- what more can I say? Skip these, there are better sets out there. More Reviews These mini salt and pepper shakers are great for small, crowded table settings, or if you have more than one set, for dinner parties with many guests. Just under 2 inches high, they are made from heavy-duty glass and metal and can take quite a few drops without breaking. In a simple, crisp design, these look nice on both casual and formal tables. The pepper shaker has three holes, and the salt shaker has nine holes in a screw-top lid. --Maria Dolan
