Customer Rating:  Summary: Juicelady Review Comment: Great Product! The Juicelady has worked very well for me for the past two years and I have recommended it to my friends. It is very easy to clean but a vegetable brush is required to clean the basket. It is powerful and even juices the rind on organic melons without overheating. I have used juicers all of my life and I even own a Norwalk hydraulic press juicer which is the best juicer on the market. Cleanup is faster with the Juicelady and my wife no longer wants to give me the counter space required for the Norwalk. (She does not appreciate the benefit of drinking fresh vegetable and fruit juices.) I am currently looking at the Breville Juice Fountain Elite (800JEXL) not because the Juicelady is not doing the job, but simply because the Breville is very highly rated and for me, something new in the kitchen brings a renewed interest in using it every day. It's fairly easy to clean (just do it right away so you don't have food stuck inside...that's when it's more difficult to clean) and it is very good at juicing. I love carrot juice and it does get out quite a bit of juice from the carrots, but the juice is always more gritty then I like. So I also use a fine strainer to clear out a bit more of the grit. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It is made well, reliable, and consistent. I recommend this juicer to anyone that would like to juice for many years to come. Customer Rating: Summary: Wear Earplugs! Juicer is very LOUD! Comment: I bought this juicer over 3 yrs ago because it had great reviews. But the reviews failed to tell me that this juicer is VERY LOUD (sounds like a motorcycle or construction) I have to wear earplugs each time and if you have young children taking a nap the sound of the motor will definitely wake them up! It's also cumbersome. You have to cut vegetables/fruit if they don't fit in the juicer. The juicer also extracts lots of pulp so you can not receive maximum benefit. If I have the time or energy, I would take the pulp and juice it again to get more juice. Sometimes I would end up with 1/3 cup or more juice from the pulp, depending how many times I re-juice it. It gets messy too. I'm dissappointed in this product because it does not motivate me to juice every single day. So I'm going to be switching to Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer soon to cut my time in half. The reviews of customers indicate that they were very satisfied with the product. Unlike the juice lady, Jack's powers juicer leaves very little pulp and is whisper quiet-which is the kind of convienience I'm looking for. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Check the capacity. 'Standard' 60cm wide dishwashers can take 12, 14 or 16 place settings, whilst slimline 45cm models may cater for 7, 8 or 9 place settings. Useful info -> How should I decorate my kitchen? Make sure that all wood mouldings such as doors, architraves and skirting boards are adequately painted before decorating. Ceilings too should be completed. Protect cabinets, appliances and floor coverings from paint or paste drips. You may want to unscrew wall cupboard mounted cornice to facilitate decoration. Don't put too much paste on your paper as it can become very soggy and tear rather than cut. Let the paste soak in for the recommended time and use top quality scissors and a craft knife with a ready supply of new blades for a sharp cut. Borders hide ragged edges at the ceiling. You will be so proud of your work when you have finished. |
