Customer Reviews of VillaWare V150-25 Imperia Noodle Machine Ravioli Attachment
Customer Rating: Summary: A Mess! Comment: I was so excited to make my own ravioli, but it was all a fiasco. Customer Rating: Summary: When It's Good, It's Good, But ... Comment: I've used this about 6-8 times, and of those, had one trouble-free batch. The other times the dough got snagged by a regulating piece in the middle, or the filling was inconsistent or spilled over (too much, too little). Being left-handed also difficult to work with comfortably. Customer Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Treat For Serious Users Comment: This attachment is a wonderful investment for serious users of their imperia pasta machine. With a bad recipe and little patience, you will have filling everywhere and you might just be tempted to throw this attachment into the garbage!! If however, you have a good recipe and the patience to try out different settings, you will learn how to easily use this attachment, and get delicious ravioli!! Practice does make perfect. Once you get the hang of this.....you'll love it!! Customer Rating: Summary: Messy and useless Comment: I agree with the other negative review below, this attachment is useless for making ravioli. Firstly, the ravioli are way too small (IMHO) and it is very difficult to gauge the amount of filling to put into the machine, as it depends on the consistency of the mixture. It's not possible to roll the pasta thin enough for a good ravioli either, as if it's too thin the filling just squirts right out. It is also impossible to clean when a wet filling gets inside the machine (which it does) if you cannot use water to wash it (which it says you shouldn't as it may rust). I recommend the old fashioned way of making ravioli, it's actually a lot easier and you have more control over the size and shape of the finished product. I actually like the Imperia Pasta machine very much, but this was a very disappointing attachment. Customer Rating: Summary: Villaware Ravioli Attachment Comment: This is a somewhat useless product. It is messy to use and requires a bit of coordination. The ravioli are formed in sheet and need to be invidually separated by cutting. Since the manufacture does not recommend washing, the cleaning up is a choir. More Reviews Create delicious homemade ravioli with this special attachment for your Imperia Pasta Machine. Simply roll out fresh pasta sheets, feed into the Ravioli Attachment, load with your favorite filling, then crank to seal and cut. Serve with your favorite sauce and fresh grated Parmesan. Choosing Appliance -> Knives The importance of high quality knives can't be stressed enough! Buy the best you can and expect to spend some serious money. It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Start with a chef knife and paring knife. You will also want to buy a sharpening steel. Choosing Appliance -> Mixer Pretty much the same thoughts as the food processor. High quality mixers are great for making bread or other tough jobs. Every kitchen should have one. Be sure that any mixer has all three attachments: paddle, dough hook, and whip. Also, find a spot on the counter where it can be easily accessed at a moment's notice. VillaWare V150-25 Imperia Noodle Machine Ravioli Attachment Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
