Customer Reviews of LamsonSharp Stainless Steel Pizza Rocker Knife
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Gadget Comment: This was on my daughter's wish list and so I ordered it. Although it came from an outside source, the item arrived in great shape and in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks Amazon Customer Rating: Summary: Best ever! Comment: This is the greatest pizza cutter I've ever had! It's so quick, clean and easy! Also works great on fudge (been making plenty of that lately). Cleans up easy. I love that it doesn't destroy the pizza when you cut it. I'd love to give these out as gifts. Customer Rating: Summary: Pizza rocker Comment: My family loves to use this item! Makes cutting pizza so much easier. Customer Rating: Summary: THE PERFECT WAY TO PART YOUR PIZZA Comment: Our family would probably not be classified as true pizza aficionados thus I never gave a thought to a "professional" pizza cutter. We've just been going along with whatever knife was handy - usually breaking the crust and creating long strings of cheese. Then our mother's group was called to serve pizza to a bunch of hungry teenagers. Happily, my friend who was in charge of the event knew alot more about slicing pizza than I did - she brought along LamsonSharp Pizza Rocker Knives. Glad to say the event went well, the kids were happy, and the pizza was sliced quickly, evenly, easily, and cleanly. The next day I bought one of these knives for myself. Who knows, we may even eat pizza more often. Customer Rating: Summary: Works better than rollers at a good price Comment: Cutting pizza works best when you can quickly apply a lot of overhead leverage to cut through the crust so that cheese and topping don't have much chance to stick to the knife before lifting it to make the next cut. The problem with a rolling cutter is that it's difficult to quickly and evenly apply much pressure with one hand as it rolls over the uneven, steaming hot sticky cheese and toppings. After the first rotation of the disk, you'll often end up with more cheese stuck on the cutter than left on the pizza, making it even more difficult to cut all the way through the crust. There are a few minor problems with this rocker knife, though. It's too small to cut the entire diameter of a larger pizza in a single cut, so it's a bit more work than it could be for 12 inch and larger pies. The handles don't lend themselves to applying as much force as I'd like because the blade could flip on its side while cutting without reserving some effort to prevent it from doing so. The knife can't hang from an overhead rack unless I drill a hole in it myself. But these minor gripes wouldn't force me to go back to using a rolling cutter. I've used commercial pizza cutters that work better, but this represents a great value for home use compared to the typical rollers. Blade style: 12" Pizza Rocker Knife with Two Handles. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens The standard 60cm oven has been joined by various other sizes. Now consumers can choose from 60,70 and 90cm wide built-in single ovens. Always check the internal capacity shown in litres as well as the external dimensions. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! LamsonSharp Stainless Steel Pizza Rocker Knife Useful info -> Outdoor Kitchen Few summer pleasures are as much fun as a cookout. The smell of grilling food is mouth-watering, everything tastes great and it's hard not to have a good time - that is, unless you're the harried host running back and forth between the grill and the kitchen for the chicken and steak, forks and knives, beer and wine, and ketchup and mustard. And when everybody's done, all the leftovers must be lugged back inside. |
